Is the platform only for Tanzanian companies?

Yes — the payroll engine is built specifically for Tanzania. PAYE bands, NSSF/NHIF/SDL/WCF rates, and TRA report formats are all pre-configured for the Tanzania Revenue Authority. Multi-currency support (TZS / USD) is included for companies that pay in foreign currency.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The platform is fully web-based. You access it through your browser at your custom domain. No software installation, no manual updates — everything is handled on our end.

How does the free trial work?

You get a full 30-day free trial with no credit card required. Every feature — payroll, leave, hiring, onboarding, and reports — is available from day one. At the end of the trial you choose a plan that fits your company size.

Can multiple companies use the same platform?

Yes. The platform is multi-tenant — each company is fully isolated with its own employee records, payroll runs, leave policies, job postings, and settings. A super admin can manage all companies from a single login.

How are PAYE bands updated when TRA changes rates?

Tax rate tables are versioned by effective date inside the system. When TRA updates rates for a new fiscal year (July), the new table is activated automatically for that year. Historical payroll runs always use the rates that were in effect at the time — nothing changes retroactively.

Can I import existing employees?

Yes. Employee Management includes a CSV import that accepts your existing employee list. The template is available in the admin panel. You can also add employees one by one through the form.

Is the career site public? Do applicants need an account?

The career site is fully public — candidates browse job postings and submit applications without creating an account or logging in. Resumes are stored privately and are only accessible to your HR team inside the admin panel.

What roles are available for team members?

Three roles ship out of the box: company_admin (full access within their company), human_resource (HR tasks — employees, leave, hiring, onboarding), and panel_user (read-only access). Super admins can manage all roles and assign them through the Users section.

Are payslips generated automatically?

Yes. After a payroll run is approved, every employee in that run gets a payslip PDF generated with a full breakdown of gross salary, each deduction (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF), net pay, and employer contributions. Payslips are stored per run and can be downloaded at any time.

What happens if I need to correct a processed payroll run?

Payroll runs follow a locked workflow: Draft → Processing → Approved → Paid. Once Approved, a run is locked. To make corrections you create a new run for the same period with the adjusted figures. This preserves a complete audit trail of all runs.
